Corey is a partner and co-founder of VITAL, where he spends every day helping scale-up funders and founders drive Impact-Led Growth (ILG) into the heart of business - a powerful combination of ESG, sustainability and impact powered by growth and value creation. He has spent more than 20 years advising nonprofits, startups and leading brands across sectors on strategic approaches to use data and technology to drive growth through strategic partnerships and business development, market positioning and GTM strategy, funding, and new market development. 

He most recently served as the Head of Global Impact for Splunk, where he launched and led the company’s efforts across corporate philanthropy, workforce education, sustainability, and impact technology, including the $100 million Splunk Pledge and the $50 million Splunk Ventures Social Impact Fund. He has worked with organizations to develop innovative technology solutions for some of the world’s most pressing problems, including disaster response and resilience, humanitarian action, and connectivity as aid; workforce and training partnerships; responsible data use; human trafficking policy, technology and collaborations; and COVID-19 testing and tracing. 

Beyond corporate leadership, Corey co-founded ImpactCloud, a coalition of more than 30 tech companies dedicated to scaling technology in nonprofit and social impact organizations. He has advised and served on nonprofit boards including Bayes Impact, Npower, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and the YMCA of San Francisco.

If you really knew me you’d know… that I love to find new ways to solve intractable problems. I believe strongly that mutual benefits can overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Importantly, technology is seldom the solution, but can be a powerful accelerant.

I’m most passionate about… family, community, and nature. I’ve served on nonprofit boards for many years and can often be found on the trails of California and Oregon biking, hiking, paddling, and exploring with my wife and son.
